February 20, 2008 - Celine Dion spent a total of five years performing in Vegas with A New Day...Las Vegas at Ceasars Palace. She agreed to a 600-show contract where she would perform five nights a week. Her decision to remain in Las Vegas was considered by many to be the smartest business decision ever made by an entertainment artist.

Celine came up with the idea for the show after watching O by Franco Dragone, and it wasn't long before she began performing her conception under the direction of Dragone.
March 25, 2003 was the opening day show that had a combination of dance, music and visual effects. The set list is a combination of Celine's biggest hits over the course of her career.
The first few shows weren't as successful, owing to the fact that Celine Dion didn't seem to be as comfortable as she is normally on stage, on top of the fact that she was hard to spot among the other dancers on stage. This was easily solved when the costumes for the other performers were toned down and Celine seemed to develop more stage presence. After the initial shows, the only complaints were the cost of tickets.
Audiences warmed up to the show, which led to it running for longer than the original contract called for. From 2003 to 2007, Celine performed every night during the week until she announced she would be breaking out of Sin City for her 2008-2009 Taking Chances world tour.
