February 8, 2008 - Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Celine Dion may have just ended her five-year run in Las Vegas, but that doesn't mean the talented singer isn't going to stay busy.
She will kick off a year long world tour soon, starting with a television concert Feb. 15 on CBS.
The show "Celine Dion: That's Just the Woman in Me" will feature a showcase of her hits and her titanic voice. During the television concert she will perform with Josh Groban and will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.

Celine Dion's Advice for Bette Midler
February 8, 2008 - LONDON - Pop singer Celine Dion is advising singer Bette Midler on protecting her voice as she gets set to stay for 30 months in the desert.
Dion wrapped up her five-year performance stint at Las Vegas' Caesars Palace Colosseum in December and is passing on her acquired wisdom, reports said.
Midler said, "She gave me all her doctors' phone numbers. She said, 'Don't talk during the day,' and told me, 'Beware of the wind.'
"She had humidification built under the stage and into this dressing room. She cranked it. It was like the Amazon in here, and I intend to keep it the same. We've got vapourisers everywhere," Midler added. Source: NDTVMusic.com

Celine Dion Earns Six Juno Nominations
February 6, 2008 - TORONTO -- With her latest album "Taking Chances" rising on the charts, Quebec pop diva Celine Dion earned six Juno nominations Tuesday as the contenders for the Canadian music awards were named.
Dion grabbed two nominations in the best album category, for "Chances" and her French-language album "D'elles," along with nominations for best artist, pop album, Francophone album and the fan's choice award.
Dion last appeared at the Junos in 1999, when she took home five trophies and announced she was taking time off to start a family. Now she's back after a successful Las Vegas stint, challenging fellow Canadian artists Avril Lavigne, Fiest and Michael Buble, each of whom earned five nominations.
Lavigne, Feist, Buble and Quebec City singer-songwriter Pascale Picard will shoot it out with Dion for best artist honors, while Lavigne, Dion, Feist and Buble are in a four-way fight for best album.
Lavigne also is up for the Juno fan choice award, best single ("Girlfriend") and best songwriter.

Febuary 6, 2008 - Canadian singing superstar Celine Dion will once again be collaborating with Coty Beauty to launch another signature scent. The new fragrance, her fifth, Sensational is set for a global launch in April 2008. The launch of the new fragrance was planned to coincide with the singer’s year-long world tour which kicks off in South Africa on Valentines Day, February 14, 2008.

During her 5 year span at Las Vegas, Celine performed over 700 sold out shows. Her last performance was December 15, 2007, just two days before her 13th anniversary with husband René.
Celine's time at Las Vegas broke a number of records. The show involved Celine Performing her all-time hits while colorfully clad dancers and visual effects lent a brilliant vibe to the stage she was on. In 2006, the show was the 6th biggest selling tour in the U.S. It was supposed to have ended that year, but it was extended to 2007 because it was doing so well. A DVD was released on December 10, 2007 for the Las Vegas show.
Celine's latest album Taking Chances became the 20th best selling album worldwide in 2007.
Updates: 2/4/08 - Canada's golden girl achieved Triple Diamond status (selling over 300,000 units) with her latest DVD from her Las Vegas - A New Day Live show. Only 5 other DVD releases including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Live Aid, and Live 8 have come close to what Celine has accomplished with 200,000 units sold (Double Diamond status). Celine Dion's 2008/2009 Taking Chances Tour is sure to be the biggest tour to hit planet Earth. She is planning on hitting 20 countries between February '08 and January '09.
1/17/08 - Dion will compose and perform a song at the Beijing Olympic Games, and will debut the song when she visits the city in April for her Taking Chances Tour. This was not her first performance at the Olympics. She sang "The Power of the Dream" for the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta.
